Paragraph 25 introduces oxygen therapy among the approved scope of medical care provided during military operations and is mandatory for the training of mid-level and senior combat medics.
The SAROS3000 tactical oxygen concentrator was developed for this type of oxygen therapy.[/bsf-info-box]

Eight 'golden hours' instead of one!!!
A golden hour for a wounded person turns into eight such hours if he or she is provided with oxygen in the first 40 minutes after being wounded. Until 2011, this was a problem because of the constant explosions of oxygen cylinders in the war zone. With the advent of the SAROS tactical oxygen concentrator from the American company CAIRE Inc (USA), this problem has been solved forever.

Oxygen SAROS 3000
The SAROS tactical oxygen concentrator was developed by CAIRE Inc (USA) in close cooperation with the U.S. Army Medical Research and Material Command (USAMMA)
Studies by US military doctors have shown:
That for almost seventy percent of the wounded who needed oxygen therapy, only three liters of oxygen per minute was enough.
This became the terms of reference
For the developer, it was the shape of the device itself – it easily replaces a 10-liter oxygen cylinder, but does not explode.
SAROS solves these problems by 75%.
Oxygen therapy in the army has two aspects: the availability of easy-to-use oxygen and safe equipment at the front and training of medics in oxygen therapy.
SAROS solves these problems by 75%, because it is backed up by its algorithms with oxygen dosing, is technically simple, resistant to dust and vibration, easily placed in the places where cylinders are attached, and does not explode. Before the invasion, the Ukrainian military needed about 2,000 units of SAROS.
YOU JUST NEED TO BUY IT
Special features. SAROS 3000
SAROS should not be charged with oxygen or any chemical compounds.
His work is the physical work of the filter, the columns with Zeolite. For long-term operation, you will need to occasionally remove the top cover of the appliance to clean the dust filter. The device will also notify you of the need to replace the 9-volt battery. It will last for six months or a year, depending on the intensity of use. SAROS has a HEPA filter, the replacement of which depends on the frequency of use of SAROS. No need to change the zeolite.
It is very easy to use Saros
– It produces 3,000 milliliters of oxygen per minute, and you just need to determine how you will give it to the wounded. There are 2 modes: flow mode in liters per minute, and pulse mode, which means that oxygen is supplied in doses for each breath. This allows you to achieve the effect of 15 liters of flow therapy, i.e. keep the saturation at 96% or more.
Tactical oxygen concentrator SAROS
For 68% of the wounded, 3 liters/min of oxygen was enough at the pre-hospital stage in the yellow zone and during evacuation.
The SAROS 3000 oxygen concentrator replaces oxygen cylinders and large oxygen production equipment and is used in field hospitals, during evacuation of the wounded, on the road and on the battlefield.
This is a solution for:
Tactical medics
- SAROS 3000 is approved for use in aircraft and helicopters at altitudes up to 5500m above sea level
- The device has the shape of a 10-liter cylinder and can be easily mounted on land, water and air transport
- The oxygen concentrator has a 24V power adapter or operates from a 220V inverter
Evacuation transport
- SAROS 3000 is approved for use in aircraft and helicopters at altitudes up to 5500m above sea level
- The device has the shape of a 10-liter cylinder and can be easily mounted on land, water and air transport
- The oxygen concentrator has a 24V power adapter or operates from a 220V inverter
Public authorities
- Local budgets have long been involved in supporting and providing for the military units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. This allows us to quickly provide the frontline with the necessary equipment and materials. The SAROS 3000 can be purchased at the expense of local budgets and transferred to the units of the Armed Forces, Defense and National Guard.
- Let us remind you that oxygen therapy is one of the factors that helps to increase the chances of our military to live after being wounded.
Volunteers and foundations
- Buy SAROS 3000 only from authorized representatives of the manufacturer. For Ukraine, it is Vinmed. We have a service center in Kyiv.
- Avoid buying used appliances. Such a device can not only fail to help the wounded, but also harm them due to incorrect operation and, consequently, low quality of oxygen. There are a number of SAROS 3000s on the market that were written off by the US Army after missions in Afghanistan and Syria. Each of these devices needs to be diagnosed and restored with the replacement of malfunctioning elements. Such service can only be performed by an authorized representative of the manufacturer in compliance with the necessary technologies.
- Remember. Only new equipment guarantees oxygen therapy of proper quality and increases the likelihood of survival of the wounded.

Application of SAROS 3000 in oxygen therapy
Classic flow oxygen therapy through a mask looks like this: We give the victim 2 liters of oxygen per minute and that’s 24% oxygen therapy. Accordingly, 6 liters is 30%, 10 liters is 50%, 15 liters is 70% oxygen therapy, and 30 liters is 100%.
BUT, if you breathe through your nose, then 1 liter of oxygen through a nasal cannula is equal to 1 liter through a mask. So 3 liters through a nasal cannula with SAROS 3000 is already 30% oxygen therapy, as if 6 liters of xyne through a mask.
What if you need more powerful oxygen therapy?
TURN ON THE PULSE MODE
16 ml of oxygen per breath – the so-called bolus – replaces 2 liters per minute of oxygen in the mask
96 ml per inhalation is already 70% therapy, as if 15 liters per minute of oxygen through a mask
Special attention should be paid to the use of SAROS 3000 with a transport ventilator – the device is compatible with the following models of ventilators:
- Hamilton T1
- AutoMedx SAVe II
- Zoll 731
- Ventec VOCSN

SAROS effectiveness on the battlefield
To a large extent, the success of evacuating the wounded on the battlefield depends on various factors, including the speed of access to medical care, the quality of first aid, the duration of transportation, and the availability of necessary equipment and medical supplies. Oxygen plays an important role in providing vital life support and treating the wounded from the battlefield to the hospital.
